Oil-Free Vegan Jalapeno Poppers - Air Fryer



Ingredients

  • Jalapenos

  • 1 x container of vegan cream cheese ("Creamy Sheese" is our favourite)

  • 1 cup of vegan shredded mozzarella cheese ("Follow Your Heart" brand is our preferred)

  • 3 Cloves of garlic, minced

  • ½ Tablespoon smoked paprika

  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Breading

  • 3/4 cup of panko bread cups

  • 2/3 cup of nutritional yeast

Method

  • Cut Jalapenos in half and remove the seeds (Best done with a spoon).

  • In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, garlic and paprika and mix well.

  • Add salt and pepper to taste.

  • Mix your breading ingredients together.

  • Scoop filling into the jalapenos, then press your filled jalapeno face down into your breading mix, ensuring that you get a nice even coat of crumbing.

  • Sprinkle the top of your jalapenos with mozzarella cheese (optional)

  • Place into your airfryer and set to 195 degrees Celsius and set timer for 7 minutes.

  • If you do not have an air fryer, you can cook in the oven at 200 degrees celcius for 20-25 minutes

  • Once cooked, scoop your jalapeno poppers with a spatula and serve on a plate, let cool down for a few minutes and ENJOY 😊
